This page explains the routes and options available if you are unhappy with a decision made by Bexley council about your child’s special educational needs and/or disability.
If you disagree with a decision about SEN Support, an assessment for an EHC Plan or the contents of the EHC Plan itself, there are a number of ways in which these could be resolved.
Bexley Council is committed to involving you closely in the process of assessing your child or young person’s needs and, if appropriate, through the development and agreement of an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan. Wherever possible, the Council - and its health partners - will try and resolve issues or areas of disagreement. This will be done by meeting and talking with those involved in supporting children and young people with special education needs and disabilities.
Parents, carers, children and young people are able to ask questions and raise any concerns that they may have at any point in the process.
